Alex: Hey! We're going to a party tonight. Do you want to join us?

Ava: No, I can't. I have to finish my homework.

Alex: Do you have a lot of homework?

Ava: Yes, and I have a math test tomorrow, too.

Alex: That's too bad. It's supposed to be a big party.

Ava: I wish I could go, but I'm so behind in my classes.

Alex: Why are you so behind?

Ava: I was sick for a few days and missed several classes.

Alex: Do you need help studying?

Ava: No, I just need to focus on my schoolwork.

Alex: I understand. But we’ll miss having you with us!
